next chapter

ello! i have exciting news and updates for you all:
fistly- been workin with maranatha the past couple of months in their cafe... but on 26th july i leave for 2 more weeks in capetown....woohoo! my funding is all paid! and ive been chatting to andre and lindsay on facebook about the trip and stufff they have been doin throughout the year.... huge things going on such as a shoe drive - providin a pair of shoes for each kid livin in the farm town ship we visited last year. (check out the team blog for more info on that) that dont have many volunteers at the mo with is strange for them to get used to cause they normally have loads... but they are keepin going... and they are doin a missions camp thing at the end of this month with 2 schools teachin about hiv/aids. there is (im told) 60 people booked in for this... excitin stuff. neil and naomi have told us that they now have the program for the trip... so will post that when i get a copy.

third piece of news... in september im going to uclan uni in preston to do deaf studies which will be mint but kinda scary. the course doent have exams tho so from easter i have quite a long break til the new term... perfect time to be doin somthing else like maybe a longer trip to capetown or training for something.... very exciting oportunity! loving that thought.

1) get a job (as you know)
2) maybe join a film and photography course... like an evening one- ive seen one advertised at the local community center as part of this new media city BBC thing thats moving to manchester. exciting ay?!
3) get a driving licence.... ?? hopefully

big hello from manchester.

As some of you may know i have been away this last year working with Youth For Christ in Ashby de la zouch (in the midlands) working in schools, churches and a young offenders prison. You may also know that in the last 3 weeks ive been in Cape town south Africa as part of a British Youth For Christ team joining up with Cape town YFC helping out and running programs in schools, youth groups, childrens homes and in communties in and around Cape town. its been a huge experience getting alongside the youth and praying for people who are in tough situations but people who still praise God through it all.

Now im back in manchester and begining to think about what is next. at the moment i am looking for a job, aiming to raise a bit of money and get myself a driving licence and working from there.

i have set up this blog so you can keep an eye on where im up to and ask any questions or even just check out the pictures i put on. I will be posting prayer requests here if you would like to support me in prayer.
